Salvador da Bahia International Airport Terminal

Salvador da Bahia Airport was found in 1925, being initially called Santo Amaro do Ipitanga Airport. However, their facilities were rebuilt in 1941 thanks to both Brazilian and American governments for the participation of Brazil in WWII.

The airport changed its name another couple of times: In 1955 it was called Dois de Julho International Airport, to commemorate the independence of Bahia state; later on, in 1998, it was changed again by the present form: Deputado Luis Eduardo Magalhaes.

The only and single passenger terminal of Salvador da Bahia Airport was replaced for a brand new terminal building in 1998, which was completed in 2000. Nowadays, it hosts both international and domestic flights.
